It is a soft tissue swelling over umbilical region with no cough reflex , no pain non - reducible- Apparently looks like an irreducible umbilical hernia but a lipoma is also a strong possibility

Umbilical hernia Absent Cough reflux, and irrducibility may be due to adhesions. Needs weight reduction and repair of hernia USG abdomen should be done to rule out intraabdominal masses causing increased intraabdominal pressure .

Non-reducible Hernia. A non-reducible hernia occurs when the loop of the intestine becomes trapped and you lose the ability to make the bulge flatten out. Non-reducible hernias are often very painful and require prompt medical attention.

It is umbilical hernia mot likely irreducible and adhesion at the neck of the sac that is why no cough impulse. It should be planned for operation on priority basis it may get obstructed at any time.

If reducible then umbilical hernia if not lipoma or cyst usg

Since no cough reflex is elicited. & mass is irreducible....its highly likely a Lipoma. Ascertain through USG study abdomen
