What does it mean? Osmotic fragility test, hemolysis starts at 0.45 and continues beyond 0.3

It indicates increased osmotic resistance to hemolysis.. Dinimished O. F. Calculate MOF MEAN OSMO FRAGILTY at which 50% lysis occurs. Normal rannge. O. 4... 0.45. Here OF is diminished.. Consider Leptocytosis.. thin rbc that can acvomodate more saline before lysis.. Haemoglobinopathy Sickle diseade Sideopenia

Diminished o. f... Shift to left of curve Increased lysis.. Shift to right... eg. Sphetocytosis.

In osmosis- Fluid comes from low concentration to high concentration gradient. In osmotic fragility test- There is osmosis and subsequent heamolysis occurs. So if haemolysis start at 0.45 , it may continue beyond it, thus for 0.3 also.

It implies resistance to hemolysis thall minor. Better to hv a graph

How to find when the hemolysis stops sir in osmotic fragility test?
