Persistent primary vitreous with hyperplasia of primitive primary cells Preplus disease
Looks like myelinated or opaque nerve fibres because of its whitish patchy appearance with feathery margins Normally medullation of the optic nerve starts from the brain and proceeds toward the eyeball ; then this reaches the lamina cribrosa. If this process further continues beyond the optic disc there is myelination of the optic nerve
Vitreo retinal fibrous bands also extending upto optic disc.
