Why normal bp of children are lower than adult. Bp 120/80?
Because the pediatric heart muscle is smaller than adult heart ,its stroke volume is less. So BP is also less than adults . Peripheral resistance in arterial tree is less in children, contributing to lower BP
Thank you Dr krishnan
In Children , Heart in Developing Condition & Myocardium of Child Unable Contract as much Adult Myocardium. So pressure Exerted on Blood vessel after Systolic and Diastolic is less than Adult.
