Every year on May 20, the world celebrates Autoimmune Arthritis Day, a day dedicated to raising awareness of autoimmune and autoinflammatory conditions, mainly arthritis. Millions of people worldwide suffer from one or more forms of autoimmune arthritis and 50% of people with autoimmune arthritis illness do not receive a complete diagnosis. 50% of the population remains undiagnosed. What actions can we take to facilitate early detection and treatment?

Well , government must ban the practices of quack who do underdiagnose the disease. They simply administer some oil / natural medicines & prevent the correct diagnosis of arthritis .

DIAGNOSTIC CRITERIA OF TUBEROUS SCLEROSIS COMPLEX : Tuberous sclerosis complex is an autosomal dominant, neuro cutaneous, multi system disorder characterised by cellular hyperplasia,tissue dysplasia and multiple organ hamartomas. The disease has two genetic loci. TSC 1 - found on chromosome 9q34. TSC 2- found on CHROMOSOME 16p13. MAJOR FEATURES : 1.Facial angiofibromas or forehead plaques. 2.Shagreen patch ( connective tissue nevus). 3.Three or more hypomelanotic macules. 4.Non traumatic ungual or peri ungual fibromas. 5.Lymphangioleiomyomatosis. 6.Renal angiomyolipoma. 7.Cardiac rhabdomyoma. 8.Multiple retinal nodular hamartomas. 9.Cortical tubers. 10.Sub ependymal nodules. 11.Sub ependymal giant cell astrocytoma. MINOR FEATURES: 1.Confetti skin lesions. 2.Gingival fibromas. 3.Multiple randomly distributed pits in dental enamel. 4. Hamartomatous rectal polyps. 5.Multiple renal cysts. 6.Non renal hamartomas . 7.Bone cysts. 8.Retinal achromic patch. 9.Cerebral white matter radial migration lines. DEFINITE TSC: 2 MAJOR CRITERIA OR ONE MAJOR AND 2 MINOR CRITERIA. PROBABLE TSC: 1 MAJOR + 1 MINOR CRITERIA. POSSIBLE TSC : 1 MAJOR OR 2 MINOR CRITERIA. Pics of hypopigmented macules,facial angiofibromas, fibrous plaques on face and scalp,ungual fibromas, shagreen patch,dental enamel pits,gingival and oral fibro as,retinal hamartomas, cortical tubers, Cardiac rhabdomyoma, lymphangioleiomyomatosis of lung and renal angiomyolipoma are seen.
