Prolonged use of steroids is contraindicated in the treatment of inherited forms of epidermolysis bullosa. Steroid-induced complications further warrant prohibiting their use.  So stop the steroids and give appropriate antibiotics and good nursing care may help healing of the wounds. Take expert advise from pedigree dermatologist.

sir pedigree dermatologist was treating the patient . now the child has cushing syndrome too . but parents are still in search of a good dermatologist . they dont believe what i say .

Yes it is inherent epidermolysis bullosa Agreed irrelevant use of steroids has supressed the PTA axis and child landed in Cushing's Indeed steroids are to be withdrawn but carefully and in tappering doses otherwise both conditions can flareup this is my opinion better dermatologist should opine So far treatment is concerned Nothing specific Moisturisers Local antibiotics applications of mupirocin or clindamycin oint Oral antibiotic suspension Cefuroxime It will heal in due course of time For Cushing's child may need diuresis

On view of inherited Epidermolysis bullosa,it's of no benefit using corticosteroid, contrary it would more worden the situation. Stop this. The management of EB is based on several general principles: Prevention of skin damage or trauma; strict wound care with appropriate wound dressing; procure a good nutrition; detection for extracutaneous complications; and psychosocial support.
