Hypertrophic scar/keloid with ulceration with secondary infection
37yrs old male having such problem since 14yrs of age.operated n SSG done 14yrs back. Chief Complaints Pain, fever, discharge for the past one week Vitals Stable Not a kco dm ht Physical Examination Redness, discharge present
Can it be compartment syndrome..
Infected hypertrophic scar . Rx: iv antibiotic , anti-pyretics , analgesia . Need to investigate if bony involvement. Once fever subsides , need to plan for revision of scar by surgeon. The source of infection could be unsterile practice of intra-lesional injection (need to probe during history taking) as it is rare for old scar to get infected by itself.

Post operative keloid with Secondary Infection. BS antibiotics iv bd. Analgesic antiinflammatory orally. Fucibact oint locally. Inj Steroid orally. Needs further investigation and evaluation to conclude particularly culture and sensitivity. Surgical intervention may be undertake after due assessment and evaluation .
