40yrs Male accidentally detected tumour in small intestine routine USG and he had undergone resection anastomosis and patient discharged uneventful. Resected specimen sent for HP study- On gross- well circumscribed globular tumour of 1cm in diameter present . cut section - No mucosal or serosal involvement.

Spindle cell mesenchymal neoplasm arranged in fascicles with ? Bizarre giant cells/ ? Mitotic figures. Needs higher magnification images for discrimination. For GIST, size is one of the criteria for grading. Advised MIB1/Ki 67 - Proliferative Index to decide the Malignant potential. ? Bizarre Leiomyoma.
