56/m, minor fall at home. k/c/o churg-strauss syndrome, HTN. on steroids and bisphosphonates for 7-8 years, continuous . kindly discuss the case and advise regarding management.
long term use of steroids leads to osteoporosis and weakness in muscles particularly in lower limbs which leads to fall..treatment is interlocking nailing for femur and stop steroids after discussing with his physician
Pathological # shaft femur, open reduction with nailing.
it's osteoporosis due to prolonged use of steroids...
It's a pathological fracture. Surgery will be required..

Closed interlocked nailing. stop bisphosphonate till fracture healing.
