Renal biopsy in Child presenting with nephrotic syndrome is indicated only when???

Steroid resistant complement c3 levels raised focal glomerulosclerosis
Very good question . As most pediatrician doesnt go for it . Since minimal change disease responds quickly to steroids. So coming to indication . If nephrotic syndrome is caused by pathology other than minimal change disease . If age of patient is less than 1 year or more than 6 years . Steroid dependent cases . Frequently relapsing cases . Steroid resistant cases . If theres renal insufficiency . Before starting immunosupressives .
