Time interval between onset of symptoms and drawing blood for BSR is important in assessing whether symptoms are due to hypoglycemia. In this case if much time has passed, or sugars have been given before drawing blood, this level can be taken as hypoglycemia. Hypoglycemic Counter measures like adrenaline, steroids, glucogon, etc also kick in ,and raise blood sugar quickly. Rule out other causes of sweating like MI, vertigo ,anxiety etc . A drop of blood sugar from very high level to even moderate level like 100mg can produce hypoglycemic symptoms.
