65yrs male c/o rashes initially over both palms n soles now extended upto both elbows n over his both knees. Associated with swelling n severe itching n they are pesisting all over the day .He had mild rash over hands previously since 2yrs mainly in summers only.Patient is Diabetic n hypertensive. Diagnosis n Treatment.



Pt is known c/o diabetes and hypertension for long standing As we know chr diabetics do have XERODERMA and pruritis Rashes seen are urticarial Chr urticaria Rx beside good control of diabetes and hypertension Review insulin if pt is receiving as diabetic do develop sensitivity to insulin and know to develop urticaria Tab Aperlimast 30mg 1bd Tab dispred4mg 1tds Atarax lotion frequently Moisturisers frequently Remember monitoring bsl frequently as steroids do induces hyperglycemia Also adv for oiling of skin before bath And to use glycerine soaps
