convulsion Vs Normal sucking reflex..
A 3.5month old baby was presented with this type of movement in the mouth while sleeping... Cry/reflex/activity-Avg.. No H/O birth asphyxia, hypoglycemi&Neonatal jaundice.. Sucking well in the breast.. neck holding not properly developed yet.. What is the diagnosis&treatment?
completely normal . check developmental milestones like social smile eye contact with mother recognized familiar faces . open hands n closes then . can hold neck a bit when on tummy
Very brief movements,difficult to see also. Looks like sucking reflex
They are normal non nutritive sucking during sleep. Not covulsions..
its normal...no treatment required...check milestones acc to age i.e.social smile,mother recognition

Female/11 months old Present with complain of 1. decreased feeding :- 5 days 2. Seizures :- 3 days Pt is not able to recognise her mother or any one and dont respond to sounds. All milestones are delayed Pt can't even hold her neck . Past history of birth asphyxia is present. Not breast feed as baby was not able to suck milk. Not immunised Most probable diagnosis is?
