A female with Post ERCP pain abdomen
A female aged 38 yrs Chief Complaints Developed pain abdomen post ERCP and CBD Stenting for CBD Stone and non passage of flatus Vitals BP - 160/90 mmHg PR - 112/min P/A - Distended, Tense, BS (-)
ERCP induced Pancreatitis and paralytic ileus is the most likely possibility. An ultrasound of abdomen is indicated and if needed a CECT abdomen Treatment with NPO IV fluids Parenteral antibiotics RT SUCTION Correction of electrolytea and dehydration
Perforated gall bladder misplaced stent as seen in cavity Yes ileus and dialated bowels Likely due to pancreatitis
There is a lot of Ileus. 1)Post ERCP pancreatitis 2)Bowel perf 3)Biliary damage/leak? I would get a CT abdomen with contrast. Workup for pancreatitis. Decompress for relief (NG tube). evaluate with imaging and labs
Ileus & perforated gall bladder pain & non passage of flatus
DURING E R CP FOR CBD STONE MAY BE CBD IS INJURED CAUSING PAIN ABDOMEN AND NON PASSAGE OF FLATUS A KIND OF INTESTINAL OBSTRUCTION
