Search causes. investigation suggested BT CT,CBC,Chest x-ray.also exclude Mitral stenosis and Covid 19.
Only diagnosis will not help. Some vasoconstrictors should be used to check bleeding. Cause could be both pulmonary or extrapulmonary so plan accordingly.
Hemptysis in children rare, still the causes maybe Tracheobronchitis, Pneumonia, Abberent bronchial artery,Bronchiectasis, Cystic fibrosis, Pulmonary hemorrage. Rx depends upon cause & Evaluation of haemoptysis.
BTcCT peripheral smear platelet count xray chest
History should be taken thoroughly to be sure if it is haemoptysis /haematemesis or epistaxis. If you are sure of haemoptysis ,get a chest xray and gastric lavage for CBNAAT to rule out TB.

7 year old female presents to emergency with history of fast breathing. History of recurrent respiratory tract infections since birth is not very conclusive. On examination, there is short stature with visible shortness of breath. Nasal flaring is present with subcostal retractions. SpO2 is 90% on room air. Chest examination reveals bilateral crepts. CVS examination is normal. Rest systemic examination is normal. CXR was done which is attached above ( although not very clear). What will be your approach to management towards this child?
