pareidolic terms (pareidolia refers to the human ability to recognize shapes ) this is referred to as "flask-shaped" or the "water bottle sign" or the "chicken on a fence" sign (the chicken representing the cardiac silhouette sitting on the diaphragm) indicating enlargement of the cardiac silhouette most probably due to Pericardial effusion.
Limited amount of space in the Pericardial Cavity, fluid accumulation leads to an increased intrapericardial pressure which can negatively affect heart function. A Pericardial Effusion with enough pressure to adversely affect heart function is called CARDIAC TAMPONADE.
This is money bag appearance of heart suggesting pericardial effusion. Pericardial borders are sharp and delineated without any lung congestion, so cardiomegaly w/without heart failure is ruled out. Also cardiac tamponade is a possibility .
