Remdesivir and WHO guideline?

LikeAnswersShare

Although WHO have changed recommendations for remdesivir- we should follow our experience in india . I also personally feel - most of the mortality in india in ICU setting is due to over-,enthusiastic treatment of COVID-19 patients. We should not use steroids , anticoagulants, higher antibiotics, remdesivir in all patients as most of the patients get their immunity lowered with steroids , unnecessarily develop bleeding diathesis due to anticoagulants and develop renal and hepatic toxicity due to injudicious use of higher antibiotics. We should follow W.H.O guidelines- but use our experience in giving above mentioned treatment only to selective patients with severe Covid-19 disease

Most Covid patients recover normally . Simple plan will be, with our present experience ,and without the benefit if alternative to Remidesivir, to use this drug to severe cases of Covid pneumonia, along with steroids and NOAC. Fabipiravir for mild cases
