Sole treatment of diarrhea irrespective of age group is proper hydration and zinc with probiotics. Like rome wasn't build in a day. Paediatric diarrhea management can't b taught here. Please refer a standard textbook.

Hydration is more important than antibiotics & other medicines. If diarrhea is mild then ORS drink in plenty, If moderate or severe diarrhea then IV drips as per severity of diarrhea , dehydration & wt of the child: preferable iv drips: NS ,RL & DNS. Stool RE & C/S test Lastly Medicines as per cause of the diarrhea as it may be antiameobic, anti bacillary dysentery or mixed infection or it may be due to food poisoning,AGE & other bacterial infection. 'Dehydration' is most important & it must be checked. Due to severe dehydration child may collapse. Must be aware of signs & degree of dehydration.

is it acute or chronic? stool examination in acute diarrhoea give ofloxacin plus probiotics plus zinc in chronic diarrhoea after sool examination tab metrogyl tds x 7 days plus probiotics or according to stool report

Treat the cause History Stool rt Amoebic dysentery Bacillary dysentery Ibs

Classify dehydration status into degrees. Treat accordingly.

Syp Fagyle in Amoebic & giardiasis Walamycin Oflox Cefexime Cefatoxime All in infective diarrhoea Viral ORS & probiotics

Rehydration Electrolytes correction Lactobacilli Sos Antibiotics.

MOSTLLY DIARRHEA IN CHILD 90% ARE VIRAL IN NATURE BUT WE SHOULD GIVE THE STOOL EXAM IF POSITIVE FOR INFECTION OR PATIENT HAS REDFLAG SIGN THEN WE SHOULD START ANTIBIOTIC
