FNA FROM ANTERIOR NECK SWELLING

49 year female c/o right anterior neck swelling Chief Complaints 49 y female c/o pain and swelling in right anterior neck since 2 months. History No significant past history Vitals GC average.130/90 mmhg ,76/min HR Physical Examination O/E 6.2x 4.1 cm firm to cystic right anterior neck swelling moving with deglutition since 2 months. Investigations The was advised T3T4TSH, Anti TPO test ,FNAC and USG neck.TFT and Anti TPO within normal limit..USG report is enclosed.On aspiration hemorrhagic aspirate was obtained.The smears were H&E stained. The smears show singly scattered and clusters of benign follicular cells having round to ovoid nuclei and moderate cytoplasm, small mature lymphocytes, many cyst and pigmented macrophages, and colloid amidst the hemorrhagic background.. Diagnosis I made the diagnosis of Adenomatous colloid nodule with cystic degeneration..

Colloid adenomyosis or Nodular goitre with Cystic changes. Needs surgical intervention to remove it.

Colloidal goitre With hammrhage Surgical removal and send for HPE

Agreed with all colleagues it is colloidal nodular goitre Surgery is advisable
