Endodontic treatment to restorative treatment
From Endo to Resto.. Case of Maxillary 1st molar with 2 Mesio buccal roots. Elusive 2nd MB canal is one of the biggest mysteries in endodontics and when it is present as 2nd root it comes as a challenge. Here i searched 🔎 for mb2 using Ultrasonics got it close to palatal canal opening as a bleeding spot.. Facts about MB2 : 🔸 Mb2 is always there in almost 85% cases (percentage varies) 🔸 Nomenclature of Mb2 in case of additional root. The suffix “R” should be added, to the name of the canal, based on which principle root it is anatomically associated with. Thus, in a four-rooted maxillary molar (MB, DB, P and an additional palatally located MB root) with each root having an individual canal, the additional MB root and canal would be named as P-MBR. Consequently, the root and canal configuration would be MB, P-MBR, DB, and P .
