Glyceryl trinitrate is safe in acute ishchemic stroke Also effective in unilateral or bilateral carotid stenosis and might improve outcome Transdermal delivery easy to administer within 2 to 6 hours hours but should not be used within 2 hours of stroke Can provoke migraine Can be used in tendenopathies upto 6 months GTN when used in intracranial hemorrhage can worsen symptoms Nicely explained GTN uses and contraindications with phosphodiestrase inhibitors

Transdermal GTN is very important molecule in comorbid conditions of storke with angina. Very helpful.
