halitosis c

30yrs,Male Engineer. C/o feeling thirsty, dry mouth after teeth brush. (to avoid dryness he drinks water frequently) Bad smell of mouth mainly 1-2hours after food since last 7-8yrs. (Brushing 2times a day-changed many toothpaste,consulted dentist many time-oral hygine good,no any dental problem) Feeling of incomplete defecation in morning (use to go for toilet 2 times in morning) Consulted GI specialist -Taken empirical rx for H.Pylori.(tab.PyloKit for 10days) No c/o loose motion,constipation,fever,cough,cold,breathlessness. No any addiction. Habitual to self check mouth odor every time before talking to people. Habitual to observe people during talking with him as they sense his bad breath or not. He noted many time his friends,colleagues use to rub his/her nose while talking with him. O/E General and Systemic examinations:Normal. Did All routine investigation 2-3times -All investigations are normal. CBC,Sugar,LFT,TFT,RFT,SE. What will be the cause of halitosis? Any treatment availble in other pathies?

His mouth doesn't look dry. Advice siolography to know salivary flow. Also ask about any stress factor. May be thats his own conscious that he feels he has halitosis Try to counsel the patient. Give him sialoguoges like chewing gums which will increase the salivary flow. To treat thus case you have to diagnose the underlying cause first.

Oral prophylaxis can be done Adv. To gargle with rexidin mouth wash To take water and citrus fruits gastro intestinal problems can cause halitosis, Gastritis? H/o Heartburn,? Avoid stress, and adv to take the food at proper time and to have good sleep at night.

CHLOROHEXIDINE MOUTH WASH DAILY TRICE A DAY MAINTAIN ORAL HYGIENE ADVICE TO EAT FRESH FRUITS AND VEGETABLES

Doc mouth spray can be given if he is too conscious atleast it will work as placebo and let him take some fiber food or try some intermittent fasting if he is worried about gastric problems

Regular exercise increase roughage in diet use chewing gum so salivation so he will not feel dryness

Halitosis due to stomach infection. I think it should be resolved once his stomach is in order. Oral Examination No significant cause of xerostomia or halitosis
