Vitilogo. A disease that causes the loss of skin colour in blotches. Vitiligo occurs when pigment-producing cells die or stop functioning. Loss of skin colour can affect any part of the body, including the mouth, hair and eyes. It may be more noticeable in people with darker skin. Vitiligo occurs when pigment-producing cells (melanocytes) die or stop producing melanin — the pigment that gives your skin, hair and eyes color. ... A trigger event, such as stress, severe sunburn or skin trauma, such as contact with a chemical. There is no "cure" for vitiligo. Sometimes patches go away on their own. But when that doesn't happen, doctors can prescribe treatments that might help even out skin tone. ... And no vitiligo treatment is likely to be 100% effective at making the spots disappear altogether. Steroid and Anti oxydents are recommonded by some dermetologist. Laser/ UV treatment is also tried.

Hypopigmented patches seen are certainly loss of deposition of melanin hence it is VITILIGO VULGARIS Rx tacrolimus 0.03%oint twice daily Tab vitd3 -60k weekly Exposure to sunlight Or PUVA AND PUMA Small patches may be tried with intralesional inj of steroid or inj melanocytes
