Identify this long-term complication of gastroesophageal reflux disease in a 55 year old male. Discuss the work up and management

Barrett's esophagus.. An endoscopic biopsy to confirm the diagnosis Treatment- Get H.Pylori testing also done . If H- pylori is positive- H.P.Kit for 2 weeks followed by PPI and levosulphiride for 3 months. If negative- Rabeprazole 20 mg B.D Tab levosulphiride 75 mg O.D Dietary restrictions of citrus fruits. Caffeinated drinks. Spices and chillies and dinner at least 2 and half hours before going to bed. As it is a precancerous condition- a frequent endoscopy after every 6 months is indicated
