It appears to be cellulitis with skin necrosis From appearance , it does not appear to be knee joint abscess The way to differentiate between the two is to check for pain while movement of knee joint, in case of knee abscess knee joint will be almost difficult to move and excruciatingly painful This patient needs Appropriate antibiotic - consider T. Linezolid 600 mg twice a day Check for diabetes and strict control of blood sugar Removal of dead necrotic black tissue Regular dressing

Narrowed tissue should be carefully removed followed by aseptic dressings. Appropriate sensitive antibi otic. Check HBA1C. S.Uric Acid. If necessary consult Orthopedic surgeon.

There appear to be joint effusion The black area is necrosed tissue May need arthrotomy in addition to wound debridement An orthopaedic surgeon can help
