Ovarian cyst

19yrs girl complaining of pain in abdomen severe in menses time. So got her USG done. Revealed haemmorhagic cyst. Pain only in menses. White discharge was treated. 2.5coms cyst. Does it need surgical intervention ?

Observation, NSAIDs If pain is severe , IV fluid support and analgesics Rule out rupture and torsion .

Yes. Surgical intervention required to avoid rupture and mental agony of pain.

Is her periods regular? Give a course of antibiotics and analgesics. Keep her under follow up. Advise healthy diet and exercise. Repeat scan after 2 months if symptoms subside.
