Dx :- Herpes Zoster. Caused by Human Herpes Virus type 3 ( HHV Type - 3 ). Management :- 1 ) Tab Acyclovir 800 mg - 1 tab 5 times daily for 7-10 days. Or Tab Valacyclovir 1000 mg - TDS X 7 days. 2 ) Topical Acyclovir cream 5 % - Local application QDS 3 ) Antihistamine of choice. 4 ) NSAIDS of choice - For pain, if any, with PPI coverage. 5 ) Cap Methycobalamin 1500 mcg + Pregabelin 75 mg - 1 cap ODPC HS for neurogenic pain.
