Developed swelling in right forearm and hand post iv cannulation which progressed to involve the whole of right upper limb Pt also developed blisters Management Suggest the further course of treatment

Post cannulisation oedema with blisters of unilateral limb suggest mis insertion of cannula and subcutaneous infusion overlooked the mistake committed Take care self reduction otherwise may lead to gangrene of limb You may try decompression by crepeping the arm after deroofing blisters with due antiseptic dressings Oral or iv support of broadspectrum antibiotics like amoxyclav or lenazolinid Anti-inflammatory drugs
