what is lacrimal abscess?

Post rx pictures , 24 hrs after start of rx , of 32 yrs/m with swelling & pain below inner angle of eye . Pt replied than no pain occured after rx was done. This pt had acute dacryocystitis with lacrimal abscess. I & d was done under local anesthesia .

Pain improved after treatment of acute dacryocystitis and certainly after well recommended treatment When it is absolutely painless and syringing indicates NL obstruction the patient needs DCR
