Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) has been identified as a leading cause of lower respiratory tract infections in young children and elderly. In India, the rates of RSV detection in various hospital‑ and community‑based studies mostly done in children vary from 5% to 54% and from 8% to 15%, respectively. Yes, RSV infection with respiratory complications is very common among low socioeconomic group children in developing countries including India and mortality & morbidity rate is also high. There is very much need of development of anti ARV vaccine. Medical scientists & researchers shud try to develop vaccine with importance. Informative & useful post.

Nice updates:A clear understanding of RSV in <5 yrs of age with difinite treatment yet to develop with so much morbidity and mortality of the acute pneumonitis by virus.The vaccine against asv is yet to delop properly, this should be expedited so that so much morbidity and mortality will be prevented.
