Severe cough with increased crp and monocytopenia.

A 66 year old man, with mild cough which progressed to severe cough, moderate weakness, RAT negative, rtpcr report did not come. spo2 97% at room air. Contacted through video call and was looking sick but was completely in denial to come to hospital, Initial xray was WNL. He Didn't get second xray, his family members were worried but he wasn't. His cbc, and crp is attached below He had monocytopenia with normal WBC count, with crp of 101. Kindly comment

66 yrs of age with increased CRP indicating towards infection and inflammation . Under present circumstances you must follow protocols of COVID 19 issued by ICMR from time to time. Needs further investigation and evaluation to conclude particularly RT-PCR HRCT etc. Good nutritious balanced liquid diet.

Crp elevated it mean some inflammation is there also monocytes on lower side treat him as covid start steroids and snticogulsnts

Crp more dan 60 indicate cytokine storm..start steroid nd anticoagulant
