This is meningomyelocele without neurological involvement.

Myelomeningocoele spina bifida syndrome..get MRI to assess internal morphology before surgery.. Astute and very experienced microneurosurgeon required... We see these cases operated by non neurosurgical specialities with just superficial excision and suturing which is unscientific and dangerous

MENINGOMYELOCELE. NEEDS FURTHER INVESTIGATIONS AND EVALUATION TO CONCLUDE AND NEEDS SURGICAL CORRECTION.

Meningomyelocele . Usg cranium to r/o associated hydrocephalus. Proper dressing of the swelling. Pediatric surgical consultation .

Its part of spina bifida complex..neuro evaluation and microneurosurgical approach is needed.. Superficial general pediatric surgical work is not enough..That awareness needs to be created amongst paediatricians
