Urticaria??

Lady aged 28 yrs old complaining of itching of limbs especially since 6 months,non diabetic, sitting job, itching causes raised spots on skin which subside of its own,looks like urticaria but even though her allergic sour things are avoided she gets itchy. Tried with scabies treatment and levocet gives relief temporarily. Please help me diagnosis and treatment for same.

Two possibilities. * Scabies. *Ch.Urticaria. Pt must have trued Permethrine/ Gama benzene... I think she should be tried Urea + Salicylic acid. And again a course of Permetrine 5.% on complete body below neck fir three days. Repeat after 10 days. Change her every belongings...wash in boiling water . Short course of steroid. For urticaria, check blood for Eosinophilia. Fexafedine 180.mg OD.x 10 days. Check the possibility of food or drug allergy. . The most common foods that cause hives are nuts, chocolate, fish, tomatoes, eggs, fresh berries, and milk. Dozens of infections can cause hives, including throat, stomach, and genital or urinary (genitourinary) tract infections; fungal infections; mononucleosis; and hepatitis. The common cold often causes hives in children. Hives aren't directly caused by the infectious organism, as in chickenpox or cellulitis.

Keratosis pilaris with ch urticaria Continue antihistamines Short course of steroids will help. Moisturizers, emollients Detection of allergen and avoidance.

? Follicular Lichen Planus ?? Look for any Lichenoid lesions elsewhere. HP will give definate diagnosis.
