Why there are no corresponding veins in cranial cavity instead, dural venous sinuses?
For your question ,most of the audience has difficulty to understand.Needs to know the anatomy. Dural venue sinuses are spaces between the endosteal and meningeal layers of the dura. They contain venous blood. Emissary veins connect the exteacranial venous system with the intracranial venous sinuses. They connect the vein out side the cranium to the sinuses inside the cranium. They drain from the scalp, through skull ,in to the larger meningeal veins and dural vein sinuses.
Well explained by Manorama mam, There are more specific way for blood to travel in certain specific situations like in brain from extra cranial and intracranial there are sinuses, in bones haversian canal, in liver hepatic sinusoids.. These are just few variation as per structure and organ requirements..!!
