Dr. Pratyush Ranjan

Dr. Pratyush Ranjan completed his postgraduate education in Ophthalmology from Vardhaman Mahavir Medical College & Safdarjung Hospital, New Delhi, India. Subsequently, he trained at Freeman Hospital in Newcastle, United Kingdom, All India Institute of Medical Sciences and Sitapur Eye Hospital, Sitapur (UP). Dr. Ranjan is probably the youngest Surgeon to complete 30,000 Cataract Surgeries. He has developed a new surgical technique to perform cataract surgery (R-MSICS) & combined glaucoma & cataract surgeries (Infinity Incision). He is also the inventor of two surgical instruments, the Ranjan MSICS Marker and Carter (The Cartwheel Chopper). Dr. Ranjan is prolific writer & speaker. His book “Visual outcome after MSICS & Phacoemulsification surgery” has been published from Lambert Academic Publications Germany. He has published over 25 original research papers in various national & international journals. He often serves as an invited guest speaker in various national & international conferences. He has mentored 5 young ophthalmologists in cataract surgery during their year long fellowship.
