My experience in Cardio Thoracic surgery started in 1972 as Assistant Professor of Cardiac Thoracic Surgery at Erskine Hospital , Madurai and Government General Hospital at Madras Medical College, Chennai. Till 1988 I was exposed to around 8000 and 10000 Trauma surgeries of all ages mainly Peadiatric. From 1990 as Head and Professor of Peadiatric Cardio Thoracic Surgery at the Institute of Child Health Hospital for Children. Here 3000 surgeries were performed in the well equipped centre. From 2002 free Cardiac Surgeries for less affluents of all ages are been performed under KJ Hospital and from 2011 at Public Heath Center Project SOCAN ( Solution for Cardiac Afflicted Needy) is been conducted even now. 294 surgeries have so far been performed. Teaching experience has been for the Post Graduates and Para Medicals. Clinical research includes study of impact on individual and society. Follow-up has been for 12 years.
